Many fitness apps struggle to balance comprehensive tracking features with a user experience that remains simple and unobtrusive during exercise. Users often face challenges such as:
Information Overload: Difficulty finding or interpreting key metrics like reps, sets, weight, and rest timers while physically engaged in a workout.
Clunky Interactions: Cumbersome controls for starting/stopping timers, logging reps, or adjusting weights mid-set, disrupting the workout flow.
Lack of Motivation: Interfaces that feel static or fail to provide adequate encouragement and progress visualization during demanding exercise sessions.
Poor Feedback: Ambiguity about the current state (e.g., work vs. rest period) or difficulty confirming logged data accurately.
The primary challenge was to overcome these hurdles, specifically within the workout set flow, creating an experience that feels like a supportive partner rather than a cumbersome tool.
To make sure the workout is and experience as a whole is customized to the user, the user has to select a primary fitness goal to begin. Answer a few quick questions about preferences, like dietary adjustments, to further tailor their personalized workout plan. This ensures the plan aligns perfectly with your objectives and lifestyle.
Workout according to plan

Completed plan and report
Upon completing the plan over the duration of it, user can view a minimal summary screen displaying key achievements and can also see all the exercises they did all through the duration of the plan.
Users can get meal recommendations tailored to their preferences and fitness goals. They can also browse various meal options, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, to complement your workout plan.
Free users can still explore the app like a few workout/exercises from categories like Cardio, Yoga & Stretching, and Full Body. However, access to the full library of exercises and personalized plans is restricted, indicated by locked icons and would warrant a subscription to unlock all features.

By prioritizing a user-centered approach, I was able to craft an intuitive and streamlined experience for personalized workout planning, execution tracking, meal guidance, and goal management. The design effectively integrates features like clear onboarding, easy in-workout controls, plan completion reporting, and motivational elements, alongside considerations for different user types (free vs. subscribed) and an e-commerce integration. Ultimately, DrimFit aims to be a supportive fitness companion that helps users stay consistent and achieve their health objectives.
